Fire extinguishing principle of perfluorohexanone fire extinguishing agent

       Perfluorohexanone fire extinguishing agent is the main fire extinguishing agent It is according to the fourth mechanism that heat is removed from the fire scene. After release, the perfluorohexanone gas forms a gaseous mixture with air. The heat capacity of this reagent-air mixture is much greater than that of air alone. Higher heat capacity means this gas mixture absorbs more energy per degree change in temperature( Calories). At the proper system design concentration, this agent-air mixture will absorb sufficient heat to disrupt the fire tetrahedral balance. The heat value released in the fire environment will decrease rapidly with the increase of the extinguishing agent. This causes the combustion zone to cool down to the point where the flame goes out. Compared with other halon fire extinguishing agent alternatives, perfluorinated hexanone fire extinguishing agent has the highest heat capacity and therefore the lowest extinguishing concentration for a given fuel.
